Finnish Flow

Do you feel like…

▸ You understand Finnish but speaking is difficult?

▸ You rarely get the chance to practice conversation?

▸ You are stuck with your Finnish level and you’re losing motivation?

No worries! This is a common stage among intermediate students. You know the basics and would like to move forward, but native speakers’ pace is still too fast and vocabulary too advanced. Maybe you experience the “brain freeze” as well and forget even normal everyday words. This is exactly what I want to help you with!

My name is Anniina, and I’ve been teaching Finnish for many years. I’ve had students of all levels and I know that many people feel stuck in the space between knowing the basics and speaking fluently.

How Finnish conversation classes can help

Here’s what you will do:

  1. Prepare vocabulary before the session.
  2. Learn useful everyday phrases.
  3. Practice speaking in breakout rooms (2–3 students)
  4. Rotate to a new group and repeat.

In Finnish Flow conversation classes, you’ll work alongside other learners with the same language level. Each class will revolve around a specific topic. Before the class you’ll look up some relevant vocabulary for that topic and write down a few useful phrases, and in the class we’ll practice speaking in a relaxed group. With the notes you’ve made, the brain freeze becomes manageable! After speaking with the people in your first group, you’ll then move to another group to get even more practice.

I’m happy to plan the classes according to the students’ wishes, so feel free to share your thoughts by filling out the form below.
